The Water that Breathes

A young boy secretly brings along the yellow fish his late mother gave him on a bus trip with his grandfather. When the plastic bag carrying the fish tears, he hides it inside the bus water cooler to keep it alive. After the bus breaks down in the middle of the journey, the stranded passengers begin drinking from the same water to quench their thirst. As the water slowly disappears, the boy quietly watches the only memory of his mother slip away, while the people around him remain unaware of the impossible choice unfolding before him.
