Synopsis
The Purpose of Pandemic Gardening follows two sisters as they turn to gardening during the isolation and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. What begins as a simple effort to grow food and create a sense of normalcy gradually becomes a deeper exploration of healing, connection, and resilience.
As the sisters nurture their gardens, they reflect on how the pandemic has changed their lives, relationships, and understanding of what truly matters. Through planting, tending, and harvesting, they discover that gardening offers more than food — it provides a way to cope with anxiety, reconnect with nature, and find purpose during an unprecedented time.
Their shared experience reveals the emotional and psychological impact of gardening, while also highlighting the ways ordinary acts of cultivation can bring people together. The Purpose of Pandemic Gardening is ultimately a story about finding hope in uncertain times and discovering that, even when the world feels out of control, there is meaning in caring for something, watching it grow, and growing alongside it.
