Synopsis
“The Garbage Island” tells the story of a man rowing in the sea who discovers a massive island made entirely of plastic waste. This episode focuses on raising awareness about the increasing number of garbage islands forming across our oceans.
Plastics are severely damaging our planet’s seas, rivers, and aquifers. They harm the plants and animals that live in these ecosystems—and they harm us, too.
The purpose of this episode is to show that the only way to change this reality is through active involvement: by educating others about the importance of not littering, spreading awareness of the issue, and working together to clean up what has already been polluted.
