Synopsis
A rat, in search of food and fun, dreaming of being a star for a fleeting moment, escapes from a brush and, unwittingly, disrupts the deadly boredom of characters trapped in a well-oiled routine. From brush to brush, its frantic race gradually throws this strange little world into disarray, setting off a joyful chain reaction that sweeps animals and humans alike into the chaos, as each one struggles, with varying degrees of success, to regain control...
A short animated film featuring the brushes of Gilles Jonemann, sculptor, designer, jewellery and object creator. Named "Maître d'art" in 2004, he is one of the most singular contemporary jewellery and object creators.
Working from photographs, Romain Claris employs emerging generative video techniques to bring the characters to life.
